Traffic Note for Festival Attendees Traveling West on Route 2
The Green River Festival takes place at Greenfield Community College in Greenfield, MA. Greenfield is located at the juncture of I-91 (exit 26) and route 2 in Western Massachusetts (note star on map).
From the north or south take I-91 to exit 26. Proceed west on route 2 (Mohawk Trail) for a few yards and turn right onto Colrain Road.
College Drive and Greenfield Community College are on your left, approximately 1 mile down Colrain Road.
Travelers taking route 2 from the west should turn left onto Colrain Road at the stop light just before the I-91 rotary
Travelers taking route 2 from the east will join I-91 just north of Greenfield and proceed south to exit 26 and then follow directions above. |

Festival Parking — Three Options!
- Parking at the Festival
In order to ease congestion of traffic, encourage commuting and camaraderie and make a dynamic contribution to the Greenfield Community College Music Department, this year there is a $10 charge to have those cushy on-campus parking spots. You'll get a nifty tag to hang from your rear view mirror so we know you're legit!
Parking Permits are no longer available online. Buy your Parking Permit:
- before the festival at the Franklin County Chamber office (395 Main Street, Greenfield).
- on festival weekend at the gate. Note: parking permit sales at the gate are cash only ($10).
There are a limited number of parking permits available, so plan ahead to get yours!

FREE Parking with Shuttle Bus Service
Have no fear, should you not want to pile up all your festival-going friends in one car and pony up the $10, you have a choice!
We have secured two off campus parking lots with acres of FREE parking and FREE shuttles to and from the festival site. Shuttles will run every 20 minutes between the lots and the festival and can carry your kids and festival gear to and fro as necessary!

Traffic Note for Those Traveling Westbound on Route 2:
Festival goers from Eastern MA who will be traveling west on Route 2 - a traffic tip! There is a bridge under construction between Route 5/10 and I-91 in Greenfield. We suggest the following route instead of a long detour.
(There is no problem going east, only westbound.)
* Proceed west from traffic light at Adams Road where Route 2 and 2A split
* Very soon take first exit on to Bernardston Road in Greenfield
* Go left off ramp to traffic light at Federal and Silver Streets
* Turn right on to Silver Street and go to end
* Turn right and take first left on to Nash's Mills Road and go to end
* Turn left on to Colrain Road, Greenfield Community College will be on your right about 1 mile
* The free parking lot and shuttle will be the left (directly opposite the entrance to the college)
