Here at Green River Festival we are constantly looking for ways to reduce our impact on the earth. As one part of our green initiative, we are encouraging and providing avenues for festival goers to rideshare. What is ridesharing? Ridesharing "is the sharing of vehicles by passengers to reduce vehicle trips, traffic congestion and automobile emissions." (Thanks Wikipedia for that great definition.) If you are interested in a rideshare, there are two avenues we have set up for you:

1. SKEDADDLE (Direct Buses)

What is Skedaddle?
Skedaddle is the first flexible mass transportation network. By pairing crowdsourced route demand with luxurious bus rides, we make affordable, direct, and comfortable travel available to all. You can explore routes to Berkshire East here, or start your own (just be sure to include "Green River Festival" in the title!)

How many people need to join a route for it to become active?
Every public route needs 10 riders to “go live”. If fewer than 10 riders join a route at 48 hours prior to departure, the route will not run, and the riders will not be charged. For private routes, the number of people needed for a route to happen is set by the route starter. If there aren't enough riders to reach that number 48 hours prior to the trip departure, the route will not run, and riders will not be charged.

Can I help a route “go live”?
Absolutely! You can share any route with your friends, coworkers, and family. This can most easily be done by going to a route on our mobile app or web platform and clicking the “share” button. You can then select whether you’d like to share the route via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, email, or SMS (or all!).

Do I need an account to use Skedaddle?
Yep! In order to join and start routes you’ll need to create an account with us. Setting up an account is quick and easy, and once you have an account you’ll be able to manage your routes and seat reservations! To create an account, click "Sign Up" at the top right corner of the Skedaddle home page. You can enter your information manually, or use Facebook to sign in! We promise we'll never post on your Facebook page without your permission.

How do I reserve a seat?
Simply follow this link to all Skedaddle routes. Find the route(s) that best suit your transportation needs and click the “reserve” button on your desired route page. Enter your credit card information. You will not be charged for your purchase until 48 hours before departure. You may cancel up to any time prior to the 48 hour threshold.

We have already created some routes for your ease, but if those don't appeal to you, make your own! Here's what we made:
